The August meeting will be an in-person and virtual event at the San Jose Vista Center for the Blind on Saturday, August 15, from 9:30 AM to 1 PM.
Lunches will be available from Subway with the usual menu.

Please schedule your VTA ride from Vista San Jose for no later than 1 PM.
SVCB 2026 Picnic
Date: Saturday September 19
Time: 10 am to 2 pm
Book your VTA Access rides accordingly – more details below.
Snacks will be available around 10 and lunch will be served around noon.
Cost: $20 for SVCB member and $25 for non-members.

You can sign up until Friday September 11; no signups can be accepted after that.
At our August chapter meeting: Sign up with David Hoffman, Diane Wetzel or Darrin Harvey. Victor Clifford will not be at the meeting.
You can pay by cash or check at the meeting. If paying by cash please do your best to bring exact change. If paying by check make check payable to SVCB and write 2026 picnic on the memo line of the check.

It is very important to make sure you type out this exact payment address as there are other addresses on PayPal that are not us and if you make your payment to the wrong business or person it is very difficult to get your money back. In the comment section type for SVCB 2026 picnic, and how many it is for, members or non-members.
Third payment method is by check but make sure it arrives in our PO Box by Friday September 11.

You will be contacted to provide what food choices you want, what condiments you want on your hamburger, hot dog or veggie burger as well what side salads you want. If you have not been contact yet, don't worry, you will be.
This year there will be a check in table where you will get a copy of your lunch order that you will take with you to your table. Volunteers will come pick them up when it is time for lunch.
Booking your paratransit rides: VTA Access has been notified of the event so they will have enough drivers as well as supervisors at the site at the beginning and end of the picnic to make sure everything runs smoothly. Please request your return rides no later than 2 pm. We have the picnic site until 3 pm and we will start clean up at 2 pm.
