San Francisco Picnic

The San Francisco chapter invites you to our virtual picnic on Saturday, August 15 from 1:00-4:00 PM. We will start the afternoon with an icebreaker to get to know a little about each other and then play games. Some group singing may be involved so bring your tuning fork and your favorite beverage!

Please let Rob Turner know by August 12 if you will be attending. We just need an approximate number so we get a sense of how many people will be participating.

Very Sad News

Dear SVCB Members,

It is with profound grief that I share this news: Last week while crossing an intersection near her home in Lawrence Kansas, SVCB member Tamara Kearney was hit by a truck. She has been in critical condition for the last several days, her life sustained only by a respirator. Her husband Greg told me last night that her condition is terminal, and that the family is now gathering to say goodbye. Greg gave me permission to let the chapter know about this, but he has asked not to be inundated by phone calls at this time. He is comfortable with our chapter sending a condolence card, and he will reach out to us when he is ready. As we receive more information, we will pass it along.
